Laminate Flooring

We carry quality high-end high density core laminates with realistic designs, finishes and colors that are stain resistant, fade resistant, scratch resistant, and allow time for spill cleanup. Our high-end laminates do not compare and significantly outperform lower quality laminates.

Laminate is just as strong or stronger and more scratch resistant than many hardwood or vinyl floor coverings

Easy to install- Our laminates utilize a click-lock method. If you are looking for a product that you can install yourself that has both minimal tool investment and a simple installation process. Laminate can also be installed over most non-textile existing floors. In this “floating floor” method of installation, laminate is laid or “floated” over the existing floor without being glued to the surface. This saves considerable time and installation cost. Our consultants are willing to give you some pointers on installing your floor yourself.

Laminate is generally less expensive than solid wood, when you add the low investment cost, longevity and durability qualities, along with its ease of installation; laminate has a strong value proposition.

Advancement in technology allows for an increase if styles and colors in laminate category. There is an abundant variety of highly realistic tile, stone and wood looks to fit your décor.

Laminate flooring is inherently eco-friendly but not all products make the cut. Our laminates make the grade :they are made with natural resources like wood chip fiberboard, recyclable,  free of air-damaging chemicals, and require no special glues or adhesives during installation (eliminating VOCs).

Care and maintenance:

A mixture of 1⁄4 cup of vinegar, rest water into a 32- ounce spray bottle works well with a mop. The water and vinegar are combined, then sprayed on a small area of the floor and mopped up right away.

Microfiber pads also work well without the need for liquid.

Laminate floors can also be cleaned by using the wand attachment on a vacuum. (Anything else can scratch the laminate if sand or grit is in the vacuum.)

Laminate should never be waxed or polished.

Spills should be blotted up as soon as they happen. Liquids should never be allowed to stand on the floor.

The floor should never be washed (wet mopped) to prevent swelling, warping or delaminating. The less water applied the better.

For spots such as candle wax or chewing gum, the spot should be hardened with ice then gently scraped with a plastic scraper (like a credit card). Then the area can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Protective pads should be placed under tables and chairs. A rug under furniture with coasters and in areas where water is more likely like in front of kitchen sink is also a good idea.

If there is an area that cannot be cleaned to your satisfaction, contact us to replace the plank(s).
